Think about your interests
I like to play the musical instruments, such as the guitar and the piano. I like to play them because I have both instruments in my house, so I can play them whenever I want to play it. I like to play some sports. My favorite sport is the soccer. I have been playing it since I was in first grade. When I was young I played soccer at least once a week . But as I became secondary students and as I went to Mongolia I couldn't play it very much.
- the guitar
- the piano
- soccer
- video games
- the clarinet
- catch ball (baseball)
- trip to China (Shanghai, Hangzhou etc.)
- hang out with my friends all day
- play in the orchestra
- play in the band
Most of activities that I have enjoyed are related to music. The guitar, the piano and the clarinet are the musical instruments and the orchestra and the band are the activity that you can play the instruments with others. I spent lots of time to play the instruments and I had lot of challenges. Sometimes my parents stop to play the guitar, because I played it for all day long. They don't really mind when I play the piano or the clarinet. But when I play the guitar and play in the band, they don't really like it.
I feel relaxed when I play the musical instruments or play in the orchestra or the band. Playing instruments is very helpful to reduce the stress.
I love to play soccer, but there's not many places to play soccer in Mongolia. I played the soccer a lot when I was in primary school, however, when I became the secondary student and when I went to Mongolia, I couldn't play the soccer often. I played the catch ball (baseball) few weeks ago with my firends. It was my first time to play it, but it was very fun. I want to spend more time to exercise and I will play the catch ball on every Wednesday and Sunday.
I went trip to south part of China. I went to 3 cities Shanghai, Hangzhou etc. I thought that China would be in poor condition before I went trip, but it wasn't. May be it's because I went to only cities. Anyway I realized that China has developed a lot and is a huge country. For example, when I was in Shanghai, I went to the capital of the city. There were lots of things and was full of people and buildings. I recognized that buildings and stores in China is bigger than South Korea's. Usually South Korea's buildings are tall but not wide, becasue we don't have large land. The trip was the best trip that I have ever had except for terrible weather in Shanghai. Shanghai was very hot when I went there. Furtheremore it's humidity was over 80% which made me crazy.
I often hang out with mu friends after school when I was in Korea. I spent lots of time. It could be called wasting of time, because all we did was went to PC Cafes and played video games or just fooled around the city. But it was not so horrible experience. I had fun and I will remember that time as the most funniest part of my secondary life.
Consider your skills
I’m in the school orchestra and I play the clarinet. It has been almost 1 year since I joined the school orchestra. I like to play in the orchestra, but sometimes it’s very boring to play the same song for a year. We are going to perform our song on the art night and it will be great. We have prepared this song for one year. At the first, we planned to perform the song at the primary performance. However we weren’t ready and couldn’t perform on the primary performance. My clarinet has improved a lot by this activity and I learned how to play the musical instrument in a group. We have one hour practice every week. I don't spend lots of time to practice in Orchestra. I think that the orchestra have to have more than one hour of practice a week.
I play in the church band. Actually most of people including me who play in the band is not good enough to play their instruments to play in a band. We need to practice a lot. When I started to play the bass guitar in the band, I didn’t even know how to play the bass guitar. I learned it how to play first and started to play in the band. Because I wasn’t good at the bass guitar the band couldn’t make nice sound. But now I have practiced and not I know how to play the bass guitar. The band is getting better. I have learned how to play the musical instruments in a group and how to coorporate with people. When I play as alone, there is noone to care about, but if I play as a band, I have to care about the someone else, the other player. We have about one hour practice a week. I think we need more than one hour practice a week.
I usually play the guitar and the piano in my free time. I often play the video game on the computer too. When I start to play the video game I am obsessed in it and spend lots of time. This happens in similar way when I play the musical instruments, especially the guitar. When I start to play the piano or the clarinet, I usually play it for a half hour or an hour and stop playing. But if I start to play the guitar it’s not easy to stop playing. I rarely play the guitar for 30 minutes. Most of times if I hold the guitar in my hands, I just play it for about 2 hours. My mother tries to stop me every time if I play it for so long. I think that I need to manage my time more effectively. It is good to play the guitar in my leisure, but I must not spend so much time.
-band
- Orchestra
- Soccer practice
- pool/table tennis
- volunteer for the cleaning the oil spilling in South Korea
- voluteer to clean the school soccer field

Evaluation
We started the unit Modern Shakespeare. It was about how can we create a video presentation of a Shakespeare play that will appeal to modern day viewers. To do this we needed one script. The script could be a talk show or something else. All people in our class voted for scripts and Tsolmon's script got the most vote. We decided to do Tsolmon's script. Mrs. Wilson divided us in three groups. An acting group, a decoration group, and a filming group. I was in Filming group with Minjae and Haram. We filmed once and thought that we need to improve our filming skill. Anyway, the project has wrapped up. This project was based on what the English A students were doing. Therefore, the English B students including me, wasted our time. It was the main reason to wrap up this unit.
Before I started this unit I thought that this unit will be fun, but it would be difficult to participate to class for English B students. My guess was right and while the English A students were practicing on acting, we got almost nothing to do. Furthermore there were some problems with filming. This unit took lots of time but we didn't have enough time. So we decided not to do this unit.
